Organize your living space. If it is messy, clean it! You need to put papers in folders and whatnot. When you are first moving in is the perfect time to do this.

1. Switch around the furniture.
   
2. Decorate! You don't always have to buy stuff to make it look pretty. You could actually make stuff like paper lanterns which give your room a cozy feel, or string beads across your door or mirror. If you aren't a crafty person then take some time and look around the house. You can find cloth of different colors to cover up a lamp shade. If you have a computer you could get a butterfly cordless mouse, spray paint it, put stickers on it, and/or hang your favorite stuffed animal from the top of it. You could always hang pics off magazines on your wall, and lots of other thing you could do.
   
3. Set the atmosphere. Try these - candles, a radio, incense, comfy bed, a magazine, or a love seat/couch.
   

Tips

You could ask parents, friends, or siblings to help you.

When you go to the store, think about little things that could make your bedroom better.

Remember make it your own, put pictures of family and friends.

• If you have a younger sibling make sure he or she doesn't mess your room up, have an alarm or a skeleton key.
